Morecambe's manager Jim Bentley will step down from his position at the end of the season but remain with the club. Bentley returned for a second spell in charge in February on a deal until the end of the campaign but was unable to stop the Shrimps from being relegated to National League North.
What happened?
The Lancashire club have now suffered three successive relegations. They said in a statement that Bentley will support the club's development across both footballing and non-footballing areas.
Why it matters for Morecambe
Chairman Kuljeet Singh Momi told the club website: I am delighted that we will continue to benefit from his undoubted passion, knowledge and experience of all things Morecambe to help drive the club forward once again.
What comes next?
