Morecambe FC has made a significant addition to their squad by signing defender Cameron Coxe on a two-year deal from Boreham Wood. The experienced full-back joins the Shrimps after a successful season with Boreham Wood, where he played a key role in their journey to the National League play-off final. A product of Cardiff City's academy, Coxe has a solid background in professional football, having earned his first contract in 2017 and making appearances in both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup. Coxe's move to Boreham Wood in 2022 saw him establish himself as a reliable right-back, making over 80 appearances and contributing both defensively and offensively. As a former Wales Under-21 international, he brings a wealth of pace, energy, and experience to Morecambe's squad for the 2026/27 campaign. Upon joining, Coxe expressed his excitement about being part of a club with ambitions for promotion. Manager Adam Lakeland shared his enthusiasm for bringing Coxe to Morecambe, highlighting his experience in the National League and EFL, which will be invaluable for the team. Coxe joins previously announced signings, including defender Will Smith and striker Teddy Collis, as Morecambe aims to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
