Morecambe will host Darlington in the FA Cup third qualifying round on Saturday, October 3 at the Halo Aerospace Stadium. The draw for the round was confirmed on Monday afternoon, pairing two clubs from the same division.

A victory in the tie would be worth £5,625 from the competition's central prize fund, while the losing side would receive £1,875. Success would also see Morecambe progress to the final qualifying round, where clubs from the National League's top flight enter the competition.

Morecambe earned their place with a 2-0 home win over Southport last Saturday, with goals from Paul Lewis and Isaac Buckley-Ricketts. That result contributed to the club's current 10th-place standing in the National League North, where they have 13 points from nine games. Their recent form shows an average of 1.44 points per game, and they have scored an average of 1.44 goals per game in the league this season.

Darlington advanced with a 4-2 away win at Redcar Town last weekend. The cup meeting comes ahead of a scheduled league fixture between the two sides at Morecambe's ground on Tuesday, October 27, with the reverse fixture set for Tuesday, February 16.

Before the cup clash, Morecambe face a tough league trip to second-placed Oxford City this Saturday. The club has already secured £3,375 in prize money from their previous FA Cup win.
