Adam Lakeland has been shortlisted for the National League North's managerial honor for September. He is among four contenders following his team's good performances.
Morecambe currently hold 11th place in the league, a standing supported by winning three of their last five outings. The September displays that led to this nomination featured two convincing home wins and a single away draw.
September results that earned the nomination
Last month, the team won 4-0 against Buxton and 3-0 versus Brackley Town at their home ground. They also achieved a 1-1 draw away to Oxford City.
The club has praised the manager for this acknowledgment. "Everyone at Morecambe FC would like to congratulate Adam on his nomination," a club statement said.
Lakeland's fellow nominees are Aaron Downes from Hereford, Paul Caddis of King's Lynn Town, and Jimmy Dean from Spalding United. An announcement of the winner is expected soon.
