Morecambe FC has secured Smart Currency Group as an official commercial partner. The foreign exchange and international payments specialist will have its branding featured at The Halo Aerospace Stadium and across the Shrimps' digital channels.
Founded in 2004, Smart Currency Group serves more than 42,000 private and corporate clients, helping them manage currency markets and international financial needs. The company said the link with Morecambe demonstrates its commitment to using football to build relationships and engage with businesses across Lancashire and the wider North West.
Martin Thomas, Morecambe's Head of Commercial, welcomed the deal. "We are delighted to welcome Smart Currency Group to Morecambe Football Club and look forward to working closely with them throughout the partnership," he said.
Cameron Hunter, Group Partnerships Director at Smart Currency Group, said the move strengthens its regional presence. "Partnering with Morecambe Football Club provides us with a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our presence in the region and connect directly with the local community," Hunter stated.
The agreement bolsters Morecambe's growing portfolio of commercial partners as the club continues its campaign in National League - North. The Shrimps currently sit 10th in the table with 13 points from nine matches, having won four of their last five games. Their most recent result was a 3-0 home victory over Brackley Town on Saturday.
With the next league fixture not until a trip to 16th-placed Chorley on Boxing Day, the club's commercial operations continue to develop off the pitch. Fans can track the team's progress and upcoming schedule via the club's official fixtures and standings pages.
